Methodology

How TenderLoop works — transparently

No black box. Here is exactly where our data comes from, how we decide what's relevant to you, and what we do and don't claim.

1 · Where the data comes from

Official public sources only

We ingest procurement notices from sources that buyers are legally required to publish to — principally the EU's Tenders Electronic Daily (TED), which covers above-threshold notices across 30+ European countries, plus national portals such as Switzerland's SIMAP. We normalise dozens of formats, taxonomies and languages into one clean, cross-border feed. We never scrape private data, and the tender information we show is public by law.

2 · How we score relevance

Fit, not keyword noise

Each notice is scored against your firm's profile on four signals: CPV category overlap (the procurement classification of the work), capability keywords from what you do, language, and geography — your chosen scope (Switzerland, DACH, or all of Europe) defines your tender universe, and tenders in your home market are weighted up. The result is a 0–100 fit score with a plain-language reason, so you can judge every match yourself. Our baseline model runs on every account; the full AI relevance model reads the complete notice text and is part of paid plans.

3 · The award-outcome dataset

Who won, at what price

Public procurement uniquely discloses outcomes. We accumulate award notices across Europe — buyer, winning supplier, contract value, procedure and location — into a growing, resolved knowledge graph. This is what lets us go beyond alerts toward realistic bid/no-bid guidance and price benchmarks over time. The dataset is append-only and grows every day.

4 · What we're honest about

The limits

We surface every winnable tender in your scope and give you a strong first draft — but we don't guarantee you'll win, and we can't promise a public body's own portal is always reachable. AI-generated drafts are a starting point, human-reviewed by design; every claim cites its source in the notice, and you approve everything before submission. Where a specific notice can't be reached, we show its official reference so you always have a path to it.
